Requirements for Renewal: Biennial renewal by last day of birth month. 30 CE hours per biennium. Kansas RNs licensed by examination who passed the NCLEX more than 30 months ago or Kansas RNs licensed by endorsement at least nine months before the initial expiration date must complete 30 hours of CNE before the first renewal date and every renewal date that follows. One contact hour equals 50 minutes and is accepted by KSBN as 1 CNE hour. One continuing education unit (CEU) equals 10 contact hours or 10 CNE hours.
