Harpers Ferry, a small town located in West Virginia, has served an integral role to the history of the United States. A major landmark of the area is Harpers Ferry National Historic Park, which hundreds of thousands visit yearly. The old-timey atmosphere that still stands today tells tales of renowned wars like the Civil War, which played a vital role in forming intrastate relationships and local culture. Its significance can also be attributed to its manufacturing industry dating back to the 18th century when much of it was powered through the river close by.
