We are thrilled to share with you the latest news from Travel Nurses, Inc. – our partnership with Highland Church’s Pack A Sack Ministry! On August 22, 2023, we came together to provide 600 meals for local elementary school students to take home on weekends. These meals are essential for many students in our community who are experiencing homelessness and may not have access to regular meals throughout the week.
Did you know that according to Memphis Shelby County Schools, there are currently over 1,500 students in the Shelby County area identified as homeless?
This staggering statistic highlights the importance of initiatives like Pack A Sack, which ensure that children in our area have access to proper nutrition, even when they are not in school.
Our team was honored to be a part of this incredible effort, and we were thrilled to see the impact our donation of 600 meals had on local families. Each Friday, students are able to pick up a Pack A Sack bag filled with nutritious and delicious food, allowing them to stay fed during the weekend when school meals are not available.
